Our bridge washed away so we have to cross our usually little creek to tend to or play with our horses. Last year we had a king snake around and I was not worried about anything. Unluckily our neighbor proudly killed the king snake this spring.
Now we have a darkish dingy looking water snake that has moved in where we cross. My daughter and I are pretty sure it is a young water moccasin. If it was just me I would not worry but I do worry about my daughter. Snake is very small yet, maybe 12". Should I just let it be or, horrors, kill it?
