snake problem...will this kill them

And, another thought, I would worry about bleach in an egg, on the chance that one of your chickens might sit on it and break it, seems that might do some harm in the henhouse.

UNDIGEST.

I don't think that's an accurate description of what you're describing, but I LIKE IT!

I can just see the looks now: "Nope, I don't want to go to Burger King! Last time I ate there I undigested my whopper"

I was missing eggs last year. I put a golf ball in the nest. A couple days later the golf ball was gone and I didn't lose any more eggs after that. I'm just sayin.

my dad put a golf ball in his nesting boxes and he found the snake trying to get through the chicken wire. It would have been able to except for the ball. He retrieved the golf ball and put it back in the nest.......recycled I guess.

Well I'm not too fond of putting plaster of paris of anything else in a blow out egg to kill a egg. Another thing to do is take a walk around your yard looking for snakes take a spade with you if you see one take the spade and slam it into the snakes neck near the head thats what my mom does.

What I do is get a square peice about 1ft x 1ft of 1/4 inch hardware cloth and bend it into a basket. Put about ten moth balls in it and hang it right next to your nest boxes. Works GREAT for me. Havn't seen a snake since. Hope that helped.
