SNAKE, SNAKE, BIG SNAKE (PICS)

If I hadn't been so mad over the loss of my quail I might have just relocated the nearly six footer I found. I'm not even sure what I will do if I see another but after this thread I might just think things through a little more. Though I will be releasing guineas in a few more months I might not have to deal with anymore snakes. My guineas would kill every snake they came across. It wasn;t uncommon to see them dragging a corpse around the yard.

I guess that's what guineas do.

And I think chickens kill them too. Can't say anything about that. That's their way.

Just seen your post about the sausage on Memorial Day, yes you did have it and DH ate it LOL.

Its a Black Rat Snake. The small head and white underside gives it away. They won't eat the chickens ( but would eat small fuzzies ). Theyre harmless. I've bred snakes my whole life ( Mainly pythons, boas, condas, etc ). Don't worry just put some mothballs around the coop
