Snarling Dog Behavior?Please Help!

I have a chick named Clover,she's going on 4 weeks this week.
All my gals are still in their brooder in my bedroom,and Clover has always been a bit different.

She's a Buff Orpington,so the breed itself shouldn't be a problem from what I know.
She's always been skittish,she runs like a roadrunner if I reach in to get her or one of the others;but she's fine once you hold her.
Now she's doing something I've never seen any chicken do before!

If I go look at my girls in their box she looks up at me and she holds her beak open.
It looks to me like she's trying to be a snarling dog or something.

It's only been the past few days that she's done this,but I've never seen it before!
Is this normal!?

Chicks are odd little birds. You will see much stranger things from them as they grow...lol. As long as they're eating, drinking, and pooing up a storm, don't worry too much

I think I might have figured this out.

Clover is my odd one of course,and Scarlet is the one I'm very close with.(Scarlet is my Rhode Island Red)
I had Clover out with me on the couch and she was wonderful,just roaming around and peeping as she does.
Now,when I brought her back upstairs she ran in a few circles on my floor and then attacked Scarlet!
They jumped on eachother a few times and stood and stared at eachother,then started it all over again!
Is it possible that Clover is trying to dominate Scarlet so she can dominate me?Is she an evil genius bent on taking over the world!?

In any case,I know it's about time for them to figure out who's the "head honcho" in the hen house,and this is the first time I've seen anything like this.
I'm hoping Clover isn't a roo,I really like her and to get rid of her (or any of my gals for that matter!) would simply be heartbreaking.

So,is she just trying to assert her place,is she an evil genius,or is she just mean?
She's the biggest in my flock,they're all the same age albeit maybe a couple days apart.

I think you are over thinking this.

Chickens hold their mouths open, especially when it's hot out. Or if they see something interesting. Or if they are listening for something.

They can snarl and growl when they are broody. If you see it, there is no mistaking it.

Why get rid of a rooster? It's an advantage to have a roo as they will keep the girls in line and watch over them. A good roo is the first one to the fight and let's everyone know if danger is afoot. Sounds like a good thing if it is a roo especially a beautiful one who is tame

I would keep a roo in a heartbeat,it's my mom who's terrified of them!
Apparently she used to clean chickens when she was younger for somebody and the rooster would chase her and attack her.
And so,she thinks all roos are this way.(Plus the noise,but I think of it as a nice little anthem to my own hobby farming)
I'm convinced Clover is a pullet and just needed some more time to adjust.Thank you for all your responses though!!!
