My easter egger has been sneezing. I also noticed that he/she has clear discharge from her nose. No other symptoms. Eats great, drinking great. Not acting weird or lethargic.
I've treated the water with Oxytetracycline for 7 days....
Should I cull her? None of my other chickens seem sick, although I did lose a sebright to sudden death right before treatment with AB.....Close inspection did not show any mucous or illness....

What are you using for bedding? It could just be an allergy from something environmental. I would separate her from the others in case it isn't allergies and attempt to create an allergy free brooder. Use paper towels for bedding, if you are feeding crumbles, leave them out for a while and observe if she is still sneezing. I feed crumbles to all of my birds, even the adults and occasionally it will cause them to sneeze, especially when we get to the bottom of the bag and there is a lot of crumble dust.

I wouldn't cull just because she sneezes a lot. If you pick her up and listen to her breathing carefully, usually you can hear a distinct click noise if there is a respiratory infection. That can be treated with tylan 50 pretty successfully if you catch it early enough but it doesn't sound to me like this one needs it...Hope this helps!

Now that I think of it, it seems like she started sneezing when I changed out the hay bedding and put in pine shavings....hmm... Thanks for the advice!
