Hey guys,Sick of me yet?![]()
RIR and she sneezed on my hand/arm. Liquid came out. Not like it's super viscous snot or anything, clear like water and basically the same viscosity. Seemed a bit shiny/moist around her nostrils.
I don't see them sneeze when they're in the brooder -- just when I take them out to handle them.
Hey us over paranoid chicken owners have to stick together!!!Glad to hear that. Helps to ease my mind.

Thank you! I’m always afraid of being a pest. I’m blown away by how many people belong to this site that dedicate so much time every day to helping us n00bs with our birds. Seems like they’d get tired of answering the same kind of questions over and over again and just want to go about their lives. I’m incredibly grateful (both for the support and solutions when a problem actually exists and for the reassurance when it’s just my worrying getting the better of me)Oh boy...it's AmyJane again!!
Just kidding! LOL
Nope, not sick of you at all! We are all here to help and learn from one another
Chicks are dusty so if there is an ocassional sneeze, I would say you're fine.
A lot of people notice a sneeze when a chick is handled. I've never had it happen, but some say it could be a nervous reaction? Maybe it gets some dust stirred up, I don't know.
Chickens do sneeze if they get fluff, water, feed, etc. in the nostrils. When to worry would be consistent sneezing, mucous from the nostrils, sounding stuffed up, watery/bubbly eyes, not eating/drinking, lethargy.
That poop looks o.k. to me.
