Sneezing Hen?

I used to have a dark cornish hen who would always sneeze. She sneezed pretty much every day for her entire life. I never thought much about it until one day I noticed that there was a little discharge. I wiped her nose and she was fine. About 2 weeks later I found her dead in a nesting box with no signs of injuries or illness. She was only 18 months old at the time and was laying regularly. Besides sneezing she was a very healthy bird. Do you think that the sneezing had something to do with her death? I can't think of anything else...

Probably nothing to do with her death. I have a 5 1/2 yr old sneezing hen who just does that all the time and has for most of her life. Her head is small for her body and I think maybe her nasal passages are just not formed that well.

Sounds much like Infectious Coryza to me. I am not sure, but maybe you can do some research on it yourself. Good luck!

You have to be kidding. Coryza? Just because she was sneezing? First rule of thumb is not to go to the worst case scenario right off the bat.

No, doesn't sound like that at all to me. If the discharge was clearish, she could have just drank water and sneezed some out, but if there is no actual snot and she has no bad smell and is simply sneezing, it's not Coryza.
