sneezing

Well that just depends really. Chickens will normally sneeze when scratching around in the dirt, because the dust gets up in their nares. Mine also sneeze when drinking water, because they get water in their nares. If you can rule those two things out, then I suggest you quarantine you bird first of all then try to get a diagnosis. Are there any other symptoms? Coughing, crusted up nares or crusty beak around the nares? Is the chicken eating or just laying around acting lethargic? What does the overall appearance of the chicken look like?

Answers to these questions can help people point you in a better direction for a diagnosis. A word of caution here though. We are all just backyard flock owners here and are not vets. We can only give you our best guesses and knowledge to help you chicken. No promises are made that a correct diagnosis will be given. For that, you will need an avian vet.
