snoring

Have him tested for sleep apnea. OTC helps are the mouth guard that was mentioned and/or nasal strips that hold the nose open. Addressing sinus or allergy issues should help (cortico-steroid nasal sprays are a huge help in relieving sinus issues). Differernt sleep positions may help.

I snore when my asthma is bad, not much when it isn't.

look into a sleep disorder center.. i snored alot.. then i started not breathing and scared hubby so much he made me go... i now use a c-pap machine.. it stops the snoring completely and i breathe normal.. as we age our muscles get lax and the lower jaw will drop and start to close off the air way.. especially if your heavy weight.. i have never slept better in my life.. i wake up refreshed and full of energy..it is awkward at first but i won't sleep without one ever again.. i love it. it is the same priciple as when your driving down the road with the windows open and the dogs head is sticking out.. the air blows into your nose with pressure like that.. gl

Well, it's my wife who has turned into the snorer. Sometimes a nudge for her to roll over works. If not, I just get up and move into the guest room for the remainder of the night.

my DH has sleep apnea and allergies.....on allergy shots, but they are not helping. Didn't know sleep apnea causes snoring.
