Hi guys, I'm posting about that chick I posted about a couple days ago.

He was doing soooo much better. He was "in" with the other 3, no bullying, able to snuggle up with the biggest one, everything was fine. I've been out by the stalls all day so I was constantly spying on what was going on. I was so happy for him. But he just keeps on crying all of the time. Nobody else carries on like he does. I have named him Cry Baby because of it.

Every once in a while he will sneeze, and it's all dramatic, not just a normal dust sneeze. He kinda jumps when he sneezes and then starts to cry again. I am also noticing a sound that I guess can best be described as a snot sound. It sounds like his nose is stuffed or something. And his "voice" is starting to sound different too, maybe like it has gunk or snot or whatever in there too.

The chicks are on the antibiotics that you put in their water and everyone else seems fine. I have decided to keep him completely separated again until I can figure out what's going on. I thought I was out of the woods with this little guy. At least he is comfortable with me. When I opened the stall door and squatted down he ran as fast as he could up to me and jumped right into my hand. Needless to say he is now sitting on top of my shoulder near my neck and is tucked under my bathrobe. :-\

His little chirps are not crystal clear like they used to be. Imagine chirps with the snot sound in there too. Is there any specific antibiotics I need to get for him? Maybe he's just worn himself out crying too much or just did too much too soon and is just tired??? I don't know. I just want him to be okay. He's obviously my favorite.

You guys are gonna think I'm insane, but maybe it was just yogurt. I tried sharing a little bit of my yogurt with him and it was after that he made the snotty sounds. Maybe he got some in his nose. He sounds better now.

All yogurt aside, he does cry an awful lot. I give him food and water, he refuses to sit on my lap but demands to be under my chin or up against my cheek, and he cries and cries. Not happy chick chirp sounds. He's either asleep or he's awake and crying. Everyone is already on Tetracycline that we put in the water. He cries just like this when he's with the other chicks too. Nobody else carries on like him. I don't know what he wants or why he is so upset! And people think I should have children?!?! (Human ones?!)

I've got a crier too! Her name is Adeline and my daughter picked her because someone bought the last two chicks in her kennel at the feed store and she was left all alone.... and she was screaming.... and she still screams all the time. Unless she is under your chin or right next to one of my chickens that has kind of taken her under her wing.
