SNOW!!!!!!! :( Boo hooo!!

I love snow but it has been non-stop this year. Some days I have to shovel my way to the coop every time I go out there!
On a funnier note, my girls are getting a little stir crazy, and my wild little Alice had her escape all planned yesterday. As soon as I opened the door, she flew out like a shot, and promptly started to drown in the two+ feet of powder. What a racket she made!

I'm about done with the snow myself. It is so heavy on my favorite tree I'm afraid the limbs are going to break. And my normally HIGH clothesline has to be ducked under, since the path (shoveled though it is) puts one about a foot higher than usual. Seems like it's 2 storms a week this winter.. feels like the winters when I was a kid.

On the plus side, my kids have a hill about 8 feet tall from the snow being plowed off the driveway. They LOVE it- great for sledding down.

I would love some snow.
Our last good snow was in 2000 when we got 2' in about 12 hours.
Since then, it's been a few inches here and there or that
dreaded ice!

I'm so jealous of you other Maine girls with snowplows and snowblowers!!! We have neither, and have a long driveway with NO PLACE to dump the snow.... so we hand-shovel it all and carry it all the way to the front or back yards. There's barely any room in the yards now to dump more snow: 6' tall mountains of it from the last 3 storms. Grrr.... I am totally over the snow!

We did shovel the girls thier own little "patio" this time. They refuse to go onto the deep snow and were taking thier strolls (and pooping) on our walking path. So we made them thier own shoveled area.

At least we've a little reprieve from the storms for a while anyway!
