Snow in East Texas!

The girls first time to experience snow! It's been about 15 years since we've had this amount of snow on the ground here in East Texas.

Oh, beautiful chickens ! What are their names? We've got about that much at the moment too, my chickens hate it, they stay huddled up under their shelter!

Thanks! Mine didn't rush out of their run as they normally do this morning. They didn't know what to think about it.

It was so funny the first time we got our chickens and it snowed, they wouldn't come out the coop! Finally it was my OEG bantam hen who decided to check it out. Because she's so small, the snow reached the top of her legs so that you couldn't see them anymore. So funny! she's quite brave about snow now and was out today pecking and scratching when all the others were stood under the shelter.
I love Wyandottes, they're by far my favourite breed, I have two hens; Lucy and Claire and a rooster who doesn't really have a name but I originally named him Henry haha
