snow in Eastern NC - pic heavy

i have some family in NC and they all just put snow pictures up on their facebook pages!!

here is my forecast for the day "dear east coast....it is sunny, clear and 75 degrees here in hawaii!" im about to go outside in a tank top to scrape non frozen poop.
keep warm and drive safe

i dont want any snow other than what is on the volcano at 14,000feet. but the birdies look so pretty in the snow!! very nice pics. i love the ducks!!

I love that we get snow and are prepared for it but it usually melts within a day or so. I hate it when I have to drive in it or want my daughter to come visit (she has to drive over Donner Summit - named after the Donner Party) and she doesn't have 4 wheel drive.

We're having fun being "snowed in" here in Bolton. Although I was amazed they actually plowed 214!! (the hwy in front of my house) The chickens have gone on strike and refuse to come out of the coop. My dog has to be forced to go outside, and the kids have to be forced to come inside!!

Pfffttt... I had to throw my kids outside this morning. They stayed out 15 mins. tops. They want nothing to do with the snow.

I guess since it's such major event around here it seems like everywhere you look is a "kodak moment" It looks so different with snow and the best thing in a day or so it's all gone.

Yep. . . yesterday when we got up, it was still snowing. It stopped around 10 a.m. and was beginning to melt by 1 p.m. Maybe we Southerners don't see it often, maybe we go a little crazy about it, but at least we're not stuck with it for very long!

My kids were upset thinking when we got back from Wilmington this afternoon the snow would be gone. It's still here, but they're next door playing with the neighbor kids' new Xbox Kinect...
It will be gone tomorrow. I keep hoping we'll get more soon!!!

And Steve- you are right about the Kodak moments!! I love all your animals braving that icky white stuff!!!
