She's the white goose...Grazie's the grey goose

This weekend I moved all the pen panels and separated the ducks from the geese. Snowflake was so happy, she went in her barn, made a nest yesterday, and laid an egg! Now I know she's a girl and Embden!

What do you think Grazie is?? I know she's laid eggs in the past 3 years, at first I thought I inherited a pair of Pilgrims but now I know better!

I think I've got one gander in the 4 month old American Buff geese (haven't vent sexed) so now I'm wondering what others would do w/this small flock? Keep or eat?

Grazie & Snowflake are 7-8 years old and the Buff's are 4 going on 5 months old. My original plan was to raise and keep a small flock Pilgrim geese as they are on the endangered list and I'm on the list for getting goslings this Spring...I love geese, they are so full of character!

hmm well since your'e going for a specific breed if you dont feel you have the time to dedicate to a few unknowns in one pen and in another pen dedicate tiem to your future pilgrims then i'd say maybe eat them..but if you think you can do both then soo do it!
