Meadow trotted briskly along. She was light enough to run on top of the frozen snow. Some of the heavier wolves weren't as lucky as she. With every step they would break through. Meadow was thankful that she was so light.

Right now she was tracking a snow shoe hare. The scent was fresh and she felt excitement tickle her. Suddenly she saw it leap from a bush up ahead and start bounding away! "Faster!" Meadow told herself as she picked up speed!

Alix trots around, looking for any small animals near him.
 
Meadow ran like a blur after the rabbit. After a few moments she got close enough to leap! "One, two three.....AND...." She leaped!

"Oof!" she yipped out loud. "That was a fail." She sat up and saw the blur disappearing. "Well, it's ok." she told herself out loud. "That was fun."

She licked her chest as she thought about her pack and how lucky she was to be alive today. "My story," she thought "my story is a bad one"

"Are you ok?" Kasha questioned Meadow as she hopped to her side. The snow had been slowing her down a lot.

Alix sees Meadow, then the rabbit starting to hop towards him. He quickly pins it with his paw. "Gotcha!" He yawns a little.

"Yep!" Kasha quickly replied wagging her tail all the more. Then she saw Alix's catch. "Great catch Alix! Come on, Meadow!" Kasha then clumsy hopped through the snow towards Alix.
