Cove watched as Lilly swam. He was excited to hear that she would go with him. He stood by the river's edge. He almost wanted to jump in too, but he knew with only three legs that he wasn't a good swimmer. So he stepped in only a little and started to get a much needed drink and kept his eyes on Lilly.

Lilly resurfaced with a chilled but happy expression, she went under a few more times, making sure to clean the blood out of her golden fur. " So.. Do you swim much?! I love swimming almost as much as I love hunting," she said matter of factly

Cove lifted his head up from his drinking. He paused, then replied politely, "No. I don't swim much." He looked over his shoulder like he was ready to go. He wasn't really looking to go, for he wanted Lilly to take all the time that she wanted, but he was concerned that she might ask him to swim with her.

" Oh, I could understand why" she started kindly, shaking her fur and climbing onto shore," with the leg and all," she said, looking herself over to make sure she was clean, " i wonder how he lost it anyway" she wondered

Cove was happy that Lilly wasn't going to ask him to swim with her and that she had understanding. "Do think that you are good to go?" he asked politely hoping to change the subject. "I think that you are pretty clean now." He held himself up proudly again and patiently waited for her answer.

" Yes I'm ready, thank you, Cove. For helping me fight them off," she said sweetly, shaking herself one last time and smiling at him before slowly walking toward camp
