I have one lonely little egg in a LG bator since 6/30 (but I think today is considered day 21 then?). It is my first egg ever. I stupidly had a humidity issue (too high) until 7/10. After that, I lowered humidity until Sunday 7/18, when I did lockdown.
I am leaving Friday morning to drive 3 hours to a hotel for my cousin's wedding. I need it to hatch by then. I am planning on taking baby chickie with me to the hotel (ssshhhh- I will use the Do Not Disturb sign).
I see it wiggling around sometimes, but no pipping. Because of the humidity issue I had, I've heard the baby may have grown to be too big and have a hard time hatching (when candling with a flashlight I saw the air cell and otherwise couldn't really see much, baby was pretty much taking up the rest of the egg). If it is too big, I hear it may have a hard time hatching... I think the problem was zipping. It will still pip though??
