So colorful!!!

Well, my EE, Runt, laid her first egg today! Its a purty light blue or green, depending on lightring! Now, she's a house chicken for the winter... and, well, she's taken to dustbathing in the litter box

so guess where she decided to lay? Yup, you guessed it... litter box.

Now, this is the one for my cat... Thankfully, it was just cleaned, so nothing nasty in there... but good grief, I wished she'd picked a better spot!

We'll hafta get her a litterbox of her own, with shavings in it

But now, it adds some color to the eggs we get everyday!

And one of the girls who lays white eggs has started too, either my Polish or Lakenvelder, hmmmm.....

Here's 4, for comparison. The speckled egg is from my Blue Copper Marans pullet, double yolker (Thats all she lays right now, poor girl

Either way, we got a kick outta Runt layin in the cat box....it made for a good laugh and plenty of funny faces

Maybe word spread from my hens to yours: I had to install a covered cat litter box in my coop just for my girls. They won't lay anywhere else lol

I really want a blue eggs from my EE's! I'm getting green, pinkish/white, and almost brownisk pink.
