I got this bird as a replacement for one dying at a feed store. On the outside, there were two labels, Sapphire Splash or Easter Egger but the inside label had “Blue Bell” written in marker over the barrel. It was much bigger than my other chicks, but I wanted a variety flock so I picked this one. It’s around 1 1/2 months old. I’ve had it for a month. But I’m almost certain I have a rooster. Would love some input please!! Thank you!! I’ll add younger pics as well but the first one is right now, today.

Prairie Blue Bell Egger.
Pretty much still an Easter Egger. Another variety, or strain.

It looks likely to be a pullet.
Mine (blue bell) looked like that at that age. I have 5 right now. Not every one is that color but they all had combs like that.

Thank you!! I hope you’re right. I already have a full grown rooster that is the meanest rooster anyone that’s seen him has ever met. I reeeeally don’t want another one to hang up with him and plot my demise when I’m feeding them or checking for eggs 😂

Can you tell the sex of this chicken? It’s the only one I’m questioning at this point, and I really can’t tell if it’s a rooster or hen.

Could go either way with this one.
