So crazy coons.

I am pet sitting my neightbors cats while she is out and every night I feed the out side cat the coons come up and eat the food. I stood at the back door and said "You will live as long as you leave my chickens alone". They have never bothered my girls.

Go figure I don't have to trap or shoot any.......so far! My coop is very secure so I am happy to co-exist with these varmints. I know they are just doing what they do. But God forbid, they hurt my girls, this means war.

My resident coon helped himself to my grill's grease cup. I was offended at first, but he was always so gentle and thorough. He lived around us for more than 6 years, then just stopped coming. Sorta miss the tubby fella.

I found a raccoon IN my coop the other night. He was cowering in the nesting box. Didn't touch any of the chickens that were sitting 2 feet away. Weirdness.
