So....crows like a rooster but looks like a lady!?

Looking for some insite. I️ have a chicken that, to me looks female But she is the only one in the flock that crows. Cockle doodle do! My girlfriend thinks she is a she and I’m pretty sure it’s a he but doesn’t look like my one rooster. Oddly enough he doesn’t crowHope some one can help us figure it out.

That kind of looks like a rooster to me. The tail feathers and sickle feathers... Anyone else know for sure

That is a big beautiful rooster! If you look at the saddle feathers & tail feathers you will notice the shape is very different than a hens feathers.

Definitely a boy. The pointy saddle feathers are the giveaway as it is a male specific trait.

Thank you all for letting us know. It was hard for us to tell. He doesn’t have a giant comb or the red dangling things under his chin. That was throwing us for a loop.
