So disappointed...Silkie chicks dying one-by-one

On Wed morning I received 35 Silkie chicks All Alive. Since then I've lost seven and two are on their way out. I've raised baby chicks before and am giving them everything they need. I've had to hide them from my kids so they don't keep getting upset. I've never had this happen before. Don't know what to do!

Have you checked to make sure they dont have cocci, pasty butt, or any respiratory infections?

I've been vigilent about trying to get the crust of their butts. How would I tell if they have a respiratory infection?

What exactly do they look like? Are they just perky one minute, and dropping dead the next, or do they appear listless and not very active?

They get gradually more and more listless. I got them from Ideal

Try treating them with Sulmet, and if you dont have a heat lamp on them, do so. How are their droppings? Normal color and solid, or runny?

I've had a lamp on them from the beginning. Their droppings are a bit runny but I wouldn't call them really loose. Where can I get Sulmet?

Your local feed store should carry it, otherwise you can order it from multiple poultry supply website.
