I thought that this was suppose to be like bred into them. Our 4 chochins will not roost.
we have tried to get them to roost and nothing, we put them on it every night for the last month and still nothing.
The roost is only 5inches off the bottome of the coop and they prefer to sleep on the wire floor.

What gives.....

How old are they? Some of my adult hens still prefer to sleep in a pile.

Weird.... mine all started roosting around 2-4 weeks old and still love it....

that's what they are doing. Chicken pile it just might be. I just put them on the roost for the last time.
From now on it's a pile of chickens on the floor.

today i wanted them to pile up and what do ya know.... two of them got on the roost all by themselves.. grrrrrr... watch what you wish for, i guess.. right when you want to give up the rug gets pulled from under you.

And I have babies roosting about 20 feet up in a tree in a wind storm,,, I have tree chickens, all my chickens turn into tree chickens!!
