So excited 2/3 so far and hopefully a third on its way

A little less then a month ago, I put 8 Muscovy eggs in an incubator. It was my first time hatching eggs. A week into having the muscovies in there 1 was infertile and 1 had quit. I had extra room in the incubator so threw in 4 chicken eggs, 1 was infertile.
Well today was day 21, for the chicks a little back one hatched last night and a little golden one this morning. Now I have one left that I’m waiting on. I’m so excited.

I was stupid last night and moved the little back one to the brooder I didn’t want it to interfere with the duck eggs it was moving them all over the place. Well it got really cold last night and the little back one was almost dead this morning. But threw him back in the incubator and is doing great now. A lesson learned I guess. Anyway I’m gonna attach a pic of each of them.

once you take them out of the incubator definitely get them a light to keep them warm. For the first while it needs to be around 90-95 degrees for them. With the lower humidity after they get out of the incubator they will fluff up nice and cute

I’ve got one of the titan brooders, to scarex to have a light. But it’s been snowing here today and last night and even with the heat plate it was still too cold. I just cranked my furnace and now it’s warmer, and he’s ok

My 3rd chick just hatched!!! A beautiful black and gold! I’m so stoked. Can’t believe 3/3 hatched my first hatch. Now hopefully I’ll have good results with my Muscovy eggs too.

No clue got them as backyard mix. Mix between black star, RIR, Easter eggers, silkie, frizzle, bunch of different breeds.
