Welcome to BYC! If you have electricity near the coops, or can get it there, heated chicken waterers can be bought and used, or you can use immersion heaters. That could help solve that problem. Hopefully folks in the forums can help with recovering the runs. I hope you enjoy BYC, and find it helpful.
 
Bonjour Sue :frowand welcome from France! Sounds like you have a pretty good set up with your seperate runs. Good luck working out what you are going to do to get it how you want it.
