So glad my black jersey giant hen. She went broody ( day 17!!) I've been candling her eggs and the chicks look healthy can't wait till they hatch!! Any recommendations?? I'll post pictures later

How many other chickens do you have? Where is she being kept? Do you have chick food for them?

I have 12 others hen plus a roo, and she is being kept in her own little coop away from the others,making sure the nest is clean,and I prepared a week before so I got starter for the chicks and some little treats like mealworms for them

I would suggest only giving them chick mash to begin with and hold back on the treats until they have been outside for some time and have grit in crop to break down food.

Good luck - it seems i am only a day or so behind you before my eggs should hatch!
