Welcome to BYC, casvista! Just a word of warning: I started out wanting just a few hens for some farm fresh eggs.

A few years, several coops and too many birds later, I learned that chickens are not only addictive (I went from wanting 3 to having 20) but can be the gateway to other poultry (which would be my 10 Indian runner ducks and two American Buff geese).

Whatever the size or make up of your flock. there are plenty of folks here willing to offer guidance and support.
