I got my hens on tues. So I have been going into Their pen with them for about an hour every evening. Tonight one of my hens got into my lap. I scratched her feathers for w while then put her down and she flew back onto my lap, before roosting on my shoulder. This is the first time one of my hens has voluntarily come to me. SO COOL

Congratulations on your new hens. Yes, it is nice when your chickens will sit in your lap. I have 6 hens and all of them will now jump on my lap, sometimes as many as three at one time. Oh, and welcome to BYC!
