So Frustrated

I am so frustrated... after hatching eggs in October I had 2 fatalities at hatching (smothered). Nine chicks lived... well, 3 died. My favorite one, too. All because of the cold... I am close to thinking of cutting my losses and selling my chicks (I only have 2 pullets out of the remaining 6). And just ordering hatching eggs in spring.... I need to put heat in my coop too, it's just soo cold in -40°F.
Also super frustrated because it's too cold and snowy for me to do the modifications to my chicken area that I want to do... grrr.
This has been an exhausting winter.

I can't imagine how difficult it must be. You Northerners are quite a hardy bunch. Try to stay positive & pray for an early, warm spring.
