I was raised around chickens but when it comes to down right knowing everything to do with a chicken, well I am clueless. I've been reading on it and love the information on this site.

I do have some questions that I'm hoping you all can help me with answering.....

We are going to be getting out little babies next week. A friend of mine is giving my daughter a Silkie and I am getting some barrs and dominikers (sp?) also.

I heard that You can't put Frizzles and Silkies with other chickens, is this true??

Help will be along soon

Never heard of not putting any chicken together, I hope someone has insight for you. We have a frizzle and silkie together and they are best pals!

Welcome from Indiana!

Me either, I've been told both ways, but heard this from a friend who's husband raises chickens, (unless she is confussed about another breed)....
I have no idea.

Hojo, from Imp in Washington

There may be a genetic reason to not mix & breed them, but for housing purposes I think no problem.
Hopefully someone who breeds these will be along soon.
