With 2 daughters in college and my youngest a 2020 high grad, I'm transitioning from raising human babies to chicken babies (aka empty-nesting, lol)
I'm a professional photographer of 20 plus years trying to hang my hat and dedicating more time to running an awesome CBD store with my husband here in Houston.
I'm a bunny mom to Merlot, an indoor dwarf lop, and a chihuahua named Handsome. I've always wanted chickens but thought I had to wait to have a big yard, it's 2020 and this pandemic reminded me that life is fragile and short and... it was time for feathered babies!!
I'm new to everything chickens and I am trying to use the phone camera more so will probably be posting a lot of photos!
Started to order 3 silkies unsexed, and ended up with mixed flock of 6 on Easter weekend! Went for some good looking, good laying little ladies 3 silkies (I hope will be girls), a blue-laced red wyandotte, sapphire olive egger, and French black copper marans. They're all so sweet, I'm in love! I'm a Texan at heart but I love Hawaii and soon will start building a tiki inspired coop, in our urban backyard. Be well, stay healthy!
