Pics are now available in the first post. Tell me what you think. The sheep in question is going to be undergoing some DNA testing to see if she is truly a hybrid or not. I am eagerly awaiting the results.
she does look different... but not as much as the one in the link posted on page one.
I dunno. DNA testing does seem to be the only way to clear that up. keep us posted.
and, of course, keep the pics coming.
Do you have any pictures of the mother and possible father?
Her tail looks a little weird to me, but a goat's tail isn't usually that long to begin with. Her face looks like a sheep face, maybe a little skinnier.
I am a little confused, if there is no ram then where did all those comparison lambs come from? Not doubting, just trying to understand how closely genetically related they are to her.
My money is still WAY on it being a sheep, fathered by a not-really-quite wether or an early-maturing ram lamb, not a buck.
She looks like a sheep to me. The face and tail look sheep. Strange sheep, but still sheep. It will be very interesting to see what the DNA testing says.
to me that looks like, that is all lamb. It is an unthrifty lamb, as if it had coccidia. It looks nothing like the geep that are proven. DNA always interesting though.
I believe it is all sheep, too. I think she may have some chromosomal abnormalities, thus the reason for the very obvious appearance differences and delays in development. The pictures do not really do the differences justice. Seeing her in real life- she's odd. She looks odd, she moves oddly, she acts "off". It will be interesting to see what the DNA tests say. The owners are convinced she is a hybrid, but I am not so sure of that. I was highly skeptical from the moment I heard about her. There is definitely something different about her, but I don't think she's a hybrid.
