So I decided to buy some chicks.

I see them everyday, so I realize they're growing, but then I look back at pictures of when I got them and it suddenly fully sinks in how much they've grown! It's quite mind blowing!

We had to make a temporary run outside with the panels I had made. I can't but the wood I need till next week to finish the run. In the mean time I'll work on the Coop. The Burds out grew the box. One of them were sit'n on the edge and the dog thought he wanted to play. Pounced a little hard. we have to kill it. sad. Don't believe the dog was try'n to her him. just wanted to play.

Unfortunately, when dogs and chickens mix motive doesn't matter. I am so sorry for the loss of the bird.

This is true.

How did yur burds handle the first thunder and lightning storms? I have a dry warm space for them, not the coop but a good temporary enclosure.

Well we haven't had one yet since they have been outside. It rained yesterday but that's it and they enjoyed being in it for the most part.
