When I got some starter birds in the mail, the sender had sent them with orange and apple slices. They lived. Sorry about your lip, but I love the way you tell a story!

When oranges and other citrus are processed for juice, the resulting pulp is used as animal feed. I suspect the orange thing is just another old wives tale.

Well,, the little feathered freaks are just fine this morning,,, enjoying their breakfast sans orange slices!~ They are lucky they didn't get bread and water, my lip looks like someone smacked me! The students will love this....
