Tired of dumping ice and refilling water several times a day, I finally bought a one & a half gallon heated water bowl.
I went out later that day after we got 6 inches of snow to see if the chickens were getting some warm water....NOPE!
Our Buff Orp Rooster decided that it isn't a waterer, but a Hot tub!
He was standing in the water bowl, dipping down and soaking himself in the warm water.
That was a couple weeks ago. They have since learned that the water is for drinking.
