So....the judge gets to my Light Sussex who is in the "ENGLISH CLASS" and doesn't even take her out of the cage. He writes on her cage card, WRONG CLASS. And walks away. I FREAK out and I'm told I have to keep quiet until he's done with the class.

So I bite my tongue and then I went over to his assistant and asked what the deal was. She said my bird was in the wrong class...I was confused but hurt...I said, "I don't think so...she's a Light Sussex...aren't they in the English Class?" She then went over the judge (I felt like I was at a car lot where you can't actually talk to the manager dude in the back office, LOL) and then the judge came over and wrote on my cage card, BV. And walked away. He didn't even give her a second look, take her out or anything...it was like he did it to shut me up. LOL

I went over & told Dan Jerome what happened and he said he'd talk to the judge and see if he would at least take a look at my pullet and tell me what he thinks of her...so I waited & waited for hours for them to be done and then I went over and he asked Heather Hayes to look at my pullet. She said she would be "brutally honest" and she came over and really liked her!

She said she needs to grow up a little bit and grow in a tail...so after that, I had the man judge (who's name I cannot remember) I asked him to come over and look at her.

I asked him why he put wrong class. He said that "Columbian Rocks" are not in the English class. I told him she was a Light Sussex and he had me wait and went over and got a copy of the APA Standard of Perfection so he could consult the book while he looked at her. He told me he'd never seen one and really did not know much about them...so that explained him not even taking her out of the cage...sighs...
