Well the mom is a jersey giant new Hampshire red buff orps or the one pictured obove becise she hatched out of a brown egg those are my only brown egg layers.

With that set of possible choices, you aren't going to be able to tell the gender of the chick by feather-sexing or by what color feathers the chicks grow.

You'll just have to watch for comb development in a few weeks, crowing sometime after that, pointy saddle & hackle feathers in a few months, or eggs a few months later yet :)
