So i went to my feed store today and asked for regular duck feed for like....READ ON

If the starter is the only thing you can get that is not a layer food- I would stick to that for a few more weeks. You can give them some veggie treats to lower the protein they are taking in. At what age I couldn't be sure. I started with Flock Raiser (all flock feed) - since at the time I had chickens too. It was easier and the best I could find at the time. I watched closely for angel wing (too much protein makes their wings grow 'out' from their body) but the duckies did ok. I now buy Mazuri food for the ducks. Just easier all the way around and the ducks do wonderful on it.

If you can find some all flock feed aka Flock Raiser- it's a good multi-purpose feed if don't want to use chick starter.

Yep, i agree. That is what all my ducks from this year have been raised on, my chickens too. My first ducks i did a duck starter/grower/layer way easier with the flock raiser imo.

What state are you located in? That would help us to help you better, if we know where you are and what feed producers you might be close to.

You may be able to get Purina Duck Grower where you are...I just changed off of it myself though in favor of a custom mix I am having milled. Am able to share with someone so I don't have to take a whole ton at a time, which is standard minimum order on custom milled feed. Best way to be sure the fish meal I wanted in there was added.
