Just to pick up pine shavings! but omg cute baby duckies.. I had to get one..or two...but not three that would be like an addiction and harder to explain to my DH..
So, I have a Tar Baby and a Teddie Duck now. Thought the names up on the way home! What do you think they are? The lable said " Hatchery Choice". Draminoe, my lonely mallard hen, will be so suprised when they grow up!

Black Cayuga and a Blue Swedish?

My Blue Swedish ducklings look very similar when they hatch.

I can't tell in the pic, but the black one seems to be standing more upright, is it always like that? I don't have Runner ducks, so not sure if that could be a possibility on the black one.

He is actually standing straight up in the pic. They both waddle around like normal ducks. He is a bit smaller than the grey one and has a raspy sqeekie peep compared to the loudmouth grey, so Im guessing Tar Baby(black) is a boy and Teddie(grey) is a girl! I hope, anyway..

It looks similar to my Black East Indies ducklings I just got from Ideal, but the are tiny. So I am going to stick with Cayuga, unless someone else has another suggestion

Thank you! I do hope they get over their initial fear of me. It is reeeeeaally hard to keep myself from going back to the feedstore to get more. I know how messy one duck can be (Draminoe..such a slob) and that's what's keeping me in check.

Ooooo ducklings

I went to the feed store yesterday to pick up pine shavings and they're getting their chicks and ducklings in next week. I already have 26 chicks and I told my DH I've always wanted a duckling and he just rolled his eyes and said, "no way!!!!" I love your little ducklings. They're SO darn cute!!!!
