So I'm thinking this is a guess my breed gender question...

Oh my! That is strange, but hey! Chickens are all different. This is a good time of year for her to be broody because chicks are easily purchased right now. I'd wait a week and buy her a couple of baby silkies and put them under her at night. The way things are now, you won't get nothin' for her effort, you will have to help her out!!! How about a picture of this girl?

She is a black Cochin frizzle pancake. I just tossed her into the main pen and she is settled down for the night. I'm sure tomorrow in daylight I can get you some photos. I'm really starting to think that I might want to see what a Sumatra silkie Cochin mix looks like if I leave her eggs those will be the ones.

Also it's just not rare for a silkie to go broody we have three we're breaking right now. But very limited breaking prison space for the gals.

Do it! I wanna see too! I love it when hen's get broody! I'm waiting for my frequently broody hen Maggie to do it. I'm giving her 8 eggs this time. Keep me posted.
