Hen is dark blue w/lav and roo is black w/lav gene.

Whatchya think? He was sold to me as a black and there is a definite difference in color when he's next to the hen.

He's got a green sheen to his hard feathers in the sun.

If not, Gisele was snuckin' around somehow and got a little sumthin sumthin on the side. I do have a splash roo but she'd been separated from him and with this roo for a good two months when she layed that egg. Maybe I should have named her Jezabel.

Either way, he's pretty darn cute.

You would not have to cross a Barred Rock to a silkie, Ohio Eggs. There are lots of breeders that already are breeding cuckoo silkies in the US.
