So it begins... (Updated pics on page 3)

Cool coop..... cooler sign over the door in your shop

Had to run back to the first page and look at what sign you were talking about...

Moment of panic over.

I've got another sign over the door to the outside, that to say the least isn't um "family friendly" I usually try to be carefull to frame shots so I don't get that one in pics I post online.

Next thing to take care of is to keep the @#)*)(*$)(@@# yellow jackets out of my coop as best I can. This is a chicken coop, NOT a housing project for homeless mean spirited Yellow Jackets.

I trimmed out the gable ends, and eaves as well as the "chimney"

Now for a tour of the inside. Water and food are going to hang off of these hangers what I bent out of some scrap steel strap that I had laying around. The hangers are loose enough that I can slide them in and out in order to get them in the best possible position.

Roosts are built and installed.

Now for some outside shots.

Then I decided that it needed one more detail...a winder.

The only thing left to do other than paint, is that I need to work out the handles that I'm going to use to move this thing. The plan is to use some pipe that self-stows inside the coop when not in use.

Detail of handle supports inside the coop.

Next thing is paint.

Beautifully done. It's whimsical and yet entirely practical. That's a hard balance to strike.

It looks as though you could easily find garden gnomes living there rather than hens!
