My sweet girls are going to be 26 weeks old tomorrow. not that I'm counting. We're still very patiently waiting on our first egg. We've sold 9 of our girls (since I had all pullets in my straight run

) and some of the ones I've sold are already laying. A bunch of the girls have been squating for me (I'm trying the Pavlovian "sit" trick, we'll see...) much more yesterday than days before. So it is coming. Any day. And I'm totally willing to be patient and just wait.


But it would REALLY be nice to see an egg soon.

Agggh, I know how your feelin right now. Nothin beats finding that first egg, does it? I have a pair of Jersey Black Giants who are 9 months old (thats what, 36 weeks????) and still- NO EGGS!!
Nothing to do but wait...............*siiiiiiiiigh*`
