So loud so young

Is it normal for the peachicks to be load at 1 week? Ive got 2 of them and one peeps alot and is loud enough i can hear him 25' away. I knew they were load animals but I didnt know so early.

Yeah, mine are super loud too. They are down stairs and I can hear them in a far room on the second floor.

Pea Chicks are MUCH louder than chicken chicks. But...it really doesn't last long. I swear they are lonely sometimes and are calling out. If I have them with a good number of other chicks, they aren't nearly as loud.

The day after I got them I got a call from my mother saying one of the peas had died. Maybe he was being loud because something was wrong. He was up and moving around a hour or so before that. Now ive got one peachick

Oh yeah my peachick is in my lap right now peeping a bunch and pecking at my shirt. The only time they are quiet is when they are sleeping it seems.
