So mad,..coop and run gone wrong

I don't let my husband NEAR me when I am building something other than to hold something heavy. If I let him "help" I end up redoing it because he doesn't follow directs and can never visualize what I describe.

Yes, you are not the only one in the same boat. My DH and I have been working on 2 coops. Almost always have a fight of some kind. It takes time for him to see I am usually right though. Don't know why he bothers arguing. LOL

Okay here we go.

coop looks good - It looks like you can salvage a nice run still - I know that us men can be thick headed some time but don't ever give up on communication. I would try working on it together - I know if Im doing something by myself sometimes my ideas seem to make sense but don't always turn out so good.

Well...I love the coop, very very cute. Looks like he went run crazy! That's totally something my husband would do!!! HA!

That coop is just RIDICULOUSLY CUTE!!!! I LOVE it!!! The run, maybe you can just make the outline with a garden hose where you want it to go, and set a hunk of firewood where you want the posts... score the post to the level you want it sunk in the concrete, sort of make it a paint by number for him. I don't think he is being mean or lazy. I don't think you are being horrible or overbearing either. Spell it out for him and help him side by side and you all are going to have the nicest run to go with the cutest coop ever!!!

I love all your responses.. We have been working on our house gutting it for about 7 years. He has gotten to the point that we were building a bookcase once and when i got home from showing a house nothing had happened. he said well I had to decide where to put this, and I knew no matter what I did it wouldn't be right :-) so I waited for you. I have an uncanny way of knowing when something is not level, or off centered and so on, it's my quirk so it drives me crazy when something isn't just right. So We usually do it all together. It's when i gotta go off when he is working on it that things turn out like the run.
So I tried to be firm, and yet not let my head explode against the pretty new walls :-) I came inside found a guy who had a roll of galvanized wire 3x100 for 40 dollars so i sent him to the other side of the cape :-) run stopped in it's tracks. I am just going to have to think it out; I intended for him to just bring a quared run abutting the coop starting above the little octogon window. but at some part having an L section jut out for the ducks water area.
Apparently he had it in mind to sort of tent the top and come down on the sides, but completely enclosing in the coop,..nonsensical. So I am going to have to rethink it and start again. Might not be terrible to tent the middle peeked over the window and then maybe spread out to the sides.
Any ideas?
