So many incubators, which to choose?

I hatch my quail in a GQF Sportsman or my Dickey's and they are very easy. I also have a back up LittleGiant with a turner with quial rails. It too works very good once you know how to use it. The key to using a LG is to put it in a room with no windows and where the temp is stable(only 2-3deg swings) and a fan kit. Also usa a dimmer switch knob on the temp stem so you can make small adjustments. The key is, get it set for 24 hours with stable temps and then don't screw with it! People say the LG's are junk but I have hatched quail, chicks, keets and turkeys with very good success. Even 100% hatches. That being said, once you get the bator, fan and turner then quail rails, you can find a used GQF or Dickiey's for $100-$150 on CL in the fall and hatch 1200 quail eggs at a time.

only two hatches so far, but we learned quick and we put our LG in a closet, to help avoid temp swings. so far 13/14 and 15/17 following "dry incubation" method. but that is for chick chicks.
we do have an LG fan kit and turner, total cost of about $125?- and I think to myself- it is $125 styrofoam- ..., will be watching CL for sure, thanks for the tip Colby.

FOR SMALL TABLE TOP OR LOWER NUMBER OPERATIONS THE BRINSEA OCTAGON MODELS CANNOT BE BEAT IN PERFORMANCE, QUALITY, OR PRICE. NO TURNER NEEDED THE OCT 20 IS 99 BUCKS- SET IT AND FORGET PROFESSIONAL GRADE INCUBATOR THAT DOES NOT VARY IN TEMP OR HUMIDITY. I HAVE LG'S, HOVAS, BRINSEA OCT'S, AND CABINETS--- ALL MY HIGH DOLLAR OR RARE EGGS GO INTO BRINSEAS.. NOTHING ELSE.
