Hi Everyone

Thank you for having this wonderful forum. We finally moved somewhere I can have the chickens and ducks I have always wanted. No more stopping at the "fresh eggs" sign at the end of the road. I started my research several months ago and I keep coming back to this forum for honest real life experiences to expand my knowledge. Kudo's to everyone! I am still in the "brooding" stage. The chicken Coop is built and ready and the duck house is under works. I am in Michigan so a few more week before I feel comfortable leaving them out side all the time. The warm days everyone goes out to the grazing area for the day. They all share a grazing area that is about 12 feet by 7 feet with an in ground little pond (deep enough to swim under water) We got so many great ideas here. Oh, we have 6 pack of Isa Brown's, 2 Americana's, 2 Pekin's and 2 Muscovy. More about my "Strange Acres": 4 dogs (not sure if the ducks think they are dogs as they follow them every where!) , 2 cats (indoor only), 2 New Zealand rabbits (they like to gaze with the ducks and chickens) and 2 saltwater tanks. About myself: I am a retired ER nurse, Married 26 years, 2 grown daughter, 1 Son in Law and 1 Beautiful Grandson! Again Kudo's for all the help and knowledge I have gained here!
