New from Oregon. 1 dog, 1 cat and (now) only 1 chicken. We would still have 3 if it wasn't for the neighbor's girlfriend's dog. Our 1 remaining is a lonely Sexlink just recovered from a prolapse. I suppose that explains the member name. We were advised to rub honey on the prolapse by BYC members. Great advice! Total recovery. Still no eggs. That's OK for now.

Aww so sorry to hear about your chickens. My only predator so far has been a dog. Have you thought of getting a friend for lonely chicken?? I think it would make her very happy

Hello fellow Oregonian. Glad your chicken is better. I hope you get her a friend! Chickens are very social and need to have another buddy ;D
 
One of our pullets was attacked by a dog about two weeks ago and survived, but just seeing her in shock, breathing hard, glassy eyed, unable to stand... it was horrible. All that to say that I am so very sorry for your loss! I hope you've been able to work things out so your remaining girl will be safe, and maybe she'll be able to have another friend or two in the near future.
