So many questions , so little time, please help

I know what its like when family members are sick. My mother was taking care of my Grandmother when she had cancer and it was really, really hard. Thinking about it is still sad. My Grandmother passed away a few years ago.

I hope your family stays healthy and strong.
Thank you for that. My mom definitely has her hands full. She lives almost 20 miles out of town, so every appointment means a 40-mile round trip, plus time spent there. It's a lot for her to handle. I help when I can, but feel it's not enough. Sorry to hear about your Grandmother. I know mine is special to me.

The little chick is doing good so far. it is so cute it rides on its mamma`s back. She wants to take it down the ramp into the enclosed yard but the chick wont go. I don't know if I should help it down the ramp or not interfere. I would hate for it to fall but I don't want her to reject the chick either. The rest of the eggs have not hatched, she is still sitting on them. Tommorow I am going to make a candler and see if I can tell if the other eggs are viable. I wish I was more experienced . Im so glad to have the site to come to. You guys are awesome.

If its been over a day I don't think the eggs are viable. Try opening them up carefully, doing so from the air sac. This way the mother can bond with and feed her chick and regain her strength and you will know for sure the eggs are indeed dead/infertile.
