Thats awesome. Guess you need to fence the top too or just let them roam. Can she climb back over when it is bed time?

That's a good question - 'cause mine go over the fence to the neighbors yard, then when they want back into our yard the run up and down the fence, frantically sticking their heads and necks through the chain link as though they expect to suddenly shrink down enough to fit through the 2 inch holes. Now when I rescue the dumb birds, I actually put them back onto the top of the fence and make them fly back into our yard to train them that they can fly over the fence from EITHER DIRECTION!

I have an EE hen and a Silver Ameraucana that get over the fence to eat birdseed that my neighbor puts out for them. She loves those 2 girls and spoils them rotten. Both hens can get back inside my backyard on their own, but the Silver prefers to stand at the gate and fuss until somebody opens the gate for her. What a diva!

oh yea.shes a smart wise old hen.she goes in and out of the run.jumps in.jumps out.she holds a special place in my heart as she was born on my birthday.she hatched july 18th,2007.
